I need to spend LESS time with my kids. I have already explained to them about property cycles, debt, interest rates, inflation, leverage, FIAT currencies etc... I doubt if they'll ever have real friendships.

I didn't include them as you never know if you are a victim of a Ninja, they are THAT good!!

I searched for 'ninja' on an online thesaurus but it could not be found. Well played ninjas

A face palm smiley might serve the same purpose as the offending one, I don't pay much attention to it but let me reassure the op, I have been affected by suicide and it doesn't offend me

Ha haa, imagine kids fighting in the school yard:
"My Daddy's LTV is bigger than your Daddy's LTV, so na na naaa"

Then the more speckled kid with a casio calculator replies:
"I've got a new word for you, a Bankrupt, cause that's what your daddy is so na na naaa"

Christ nerd school is boring XX

So, let me see if I have this correct OP,
Ireland is in a state of economic collapse. There are unknown numbers of children going hungry each night and countless more living on the verge of desolation but your concern is for a stupid, meaningless "smile"?

Jesus!!!

So I started this thread - seems like a few share my train of thought but majority don't.... :shock:

I could be classified as too senstive then - so be it! Ye pinsters are a tough crowd :wink:

Btw thanks for suggestions for disabling the smilies - don't really want to do that as I only personally object to that particular smilie - I guess that leaves me open to be accused of smilism :x

I don't like it either, but mostly because of the way it's often used to imply another poster is so dim that you'd rather stick a gun in your mouth and blow your head off than engage with them through reasoned argument. For that reason, it takes away from rather than adds to the debate.

@seinfeld
If you want to block just that smiley then use firefox and install Adblock

Ad a rule to block that url.
Code:
||thepropertypin.com/images/smilies/suicide.gif

Hey presto, no more smiley that offends you, but may or may not offend others.

U can right click on the image to and ad enable adblock from the adblock right click menu too. This is probably easier.

It is rare to log into the Pin and immediatately come across a post that so accurately and totally sums up exactly how one is feeling at that exact moment but this is one of those rare occasions.

Please Please Please Mods can we add Dubhgeannain's smiley. You can delete any others you want as long as we can have this one. I know they are childish and facile but sometimes childish and facile expresses things best.
