Some high prices here, but are there many 3/4-beds still going in Rathfarnham* ?

*Yes, I know some don't regard it as properly Rathfarnham ...

Thought to bump this up - while the apartments have fallen in line with apartments everywhere, how about the housing stock ?

I drove through here last week, having taken a wrong turn. There are mazes of houses and apartments in the middle of nowhere. Not somewhere I would choose to live, regardless of price.

I'm renting very locally inside the M50 inside 'proper' Rathfarnham and haven't had much cause to go that direction so didn't really know the area - but having been there recently I agree re the neighbouring estates, some of which shocked me. Very cramped. Airside especially in view of the continued prices - but unsure re Stockingwood. Seems the best most spacious? (You can fit two cars going in opp directions on the roads there unlike other estates locally)

Curious to know why not a greater uptake here - and full estates locally - what am I missing?

Looked at two of the houses afew years ago, the parking is on the road, to few visotor spaces, the gardens are to small and next to useless, the door into the living room was badly placed cutting the room in two making furniture placement difficult. Not much by way of green space (see small gardens) so no where for children to play. Leave it and keep looking, even if you say, I don't want a garden or kids the day you buy it is the day you will need to sell it and youl limit your market.
