thats a few very bullish posts from you on various forums....for real or being sarcastic

I agree with doubledigitgrowth this will sell for more than €500k

Although the house needs work this is a detached house with large gardens in a relatively nice area.

Do you thing it will sell for less or are you just hoping that it will :)

drove down tany park to have a goo at this on Sat.
tany park is a shortcut for the block of flats behind into Dundrum village, "Rosemount" I think they are called and in the short space of time we spent down that lane both I and the wife both noticed the large throughput of shady looking characters in that lane.
I would not go down it at night.

For real. It will sell for at these levels. There are enough buyers out there to bid it up to these levels.

A 'relatively nice area'. Ouch, damned with faint praise.

I don't think houses in relatively nice areas should be worth half a million euros when they are in need of significant investment. It's not a house you can move straight into. 500k plus refurb puts it at close to 700k maybe? You can buy a lot of house for that money.

It's close to some good schools though, very close to the Luas also, and has a nice garden.

Yes I thought it would sell above €500k (It is a detached house with a large garden in a relatively nice area)

What did you think it would go for?

For pinsters currently in the market, knowledge of what people are currently offering on houses is a valuable commodity.

If you think DDG is telling porkies a quick phone call to the EA will confirm what the current offer is. (Prove him wrong if you can : 8) )

When you hear information you do not like, attempting to shot the messenger rarely solves the problem.

Now I am offended Landlord.

That you believe DDG's statement instead of mine :(

€585k on this property is too low to be believed. You do realise that SCD property prices are on the increase. But wait maybe I've over stepped the mark here. Perhaps it's only yourself and DDG who are allowed to call an increase in SCD prices.

Far from shooting the messenger , I'd just like to join the team

Oh for the love of God, will someone please help save my sanity!! XX
Doubledigitgrowth and Landlord, it has to be said that both of you are so full of crap!
One really has to wonder (again and again and again) if you both are indeed EA’s??
But I call on whoever moderates this forum to insist that “people” who quote current asking prices be asked to provide evidence of said current asking price or else don’t quote them. When outlining price drops you have to provide links to previous and current prices so why does this not have to apply here?
Implying that you should ring the EA and enquire about the current bid is the last thing anyone should do as it has been established on more that one thread that EA’s couldn’t tell the truth if it was to save their own mothers life! And anyone who has had first hand experience of EA agents will be able to confirm that.

Fictional (and that is what they are) price indicators need to be banned and if there is any mod reading this perhaps they will facilitate this?
Landlord and Doubledigit, I know this will upset your fun but perhaps it can give the rest of us a break for your inane (of the highest order) drivel. :!:

620 thats a huge jump for the area. I know the houses on the main road, two actually sold for 470 and 550 in the last 12 months.

Would be interesting to see the effect of the property price database on situations like this.

i.e. noting houses sold in area for 470/550, would it prevent insanity in the bidding process?

A worrying development - there's obviously more money than sense out there.
