Seems a lot of money for a rather average house (though detached) wth dated decor and a small garden.

A fine house but ,yes, it does seem dear ,even for this pleasant area where I dwelled for some years.

A quick glance at nearby properties for sale ;-a 4 bed semiD with one bathroom in Pecks Lane a hundred yds away for 379k , and a 4bed/3 bathroom S.D. in C'knock Manor 300 yds away for 429k. Although these are slightly smaller S.D. properties the price difference is so enormous that 669k seems ambitious.

Mind you, even if they get "only" 600k that's a big jump on the 1999 price of 412k and well in line with inflation, accoridng to figures in first post.
