List sites, tips and tricks for job hunting!

Maybe some could give an analysis of job and career prospects in their fields and how the recession has or has not changed things.

Well that should highlight how the recession has changed things pour moi.
Was offered a position today but it involved moving to the UK... just not for me.
Now something in the Bahamas might be more like it :-)

My labour is being continually undercut.
Initially it was cheap foreign labour.
Now its free local labour.

Interesting times.

In terms of tips I'd recommend contacting a company directly particularly smaller ones. Most companies these days have a career opportunities link on their website which may or may not be up to date.
