What is the story with this house http://www.myhome.ie/residential/brochu ... ray/408299 - does anyone else think it seems to be ahead of the curve art €375k?
I'd be interested to hear if anyone on here has viewed the house.

Was 495k, then 450k

i actually went sale agreed (for a good bit less than they are now asking) a while back on this house then pulled out. I got a survey and then took an architect around as the survey made scary reading. It is just way way beyond a 'normal' person's capacity to renovate-at least 200k i was told. A lot has been bodged (irreparably) and the original features spoilt. It's in a beautiful spot, but the rear is vulnerable to burglars with the higher road above. I really had my heart set on it, but followed my head rather than my heart and i have to say i don't regret it.

Is there any back garden on this house? From the aerial view it appears to back up to that elevated road.

Thanks for that, its a bit out of my range as things are, but adding 200k really puts it into the stratoshpere.

This appears to have changed agent, earlier price drops recorded here.

Thanks Jacob - you're always a mine of info about Bray and surrounds. Maybe a mod could merge this with your original thread.

Quote:
http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/pro ... 24270.html A TERRACED Victorian house on Bray’s seafront needs total refurbishment ... now €595,000.
... total floor area of 211sq m (2,275sq ft).

Was 685k based on that mention, now 1 year later 450k
Drop of 235k or -34%.

Sign said sale agreed up until recently but now back on.

Passed this house today, SOLD sign up.
A group of lads - not locals - were unloading equipment from a van. I got talking to one of them, asked him if he knew what it went for. He thought "around €320k". ANECDOTAL!!!! - but if true, a LONG WAY from the €685k originally being looked for.
