Well he contested extradition for months, until he found his accommodations not to his liking. He's also asserted that Boston is his home, not Ireland. So it's hard to see how he's not a flight risk.

"120 witnesses and millions of documents" in evidence? Apart from the odd plea for extra prep time, he probably won't see the inside of a courtroom again for several years, let alone the inside of a prison.

It was a persuasive package of measures he offered.

If I was the judge I'd have put him in jail and let him appeal it to the High Court.
