Didn't the US judge describe him as "not remotely credible"?

Yet here he gets bail after a few hours after being extradited!

There definitely is something not remotely credible about this.

This is Ireland. It would be criminal to send him to jail.

Though you could argue he poses not just a flight risk but a menace to society while on bail in due to people's heads exploding.

If I was the judge I'd have put him in jail and let him appeal it to the High Court.

According to the RTÉ news, he's been remanded overnight.

Nah, don't worry, the meeja are doing their bit to stop heads exploding. Thus, you will find that you can comment on today's incisive IT article "Conor McGregor fans are the touchiest and whiniest in sport" (which is actually an incestuous piece about a previous IT article). But did they open the comments on the Drumm article? Oh fuck, no, of course not.

Ongoing Anglo trial may explain?

Yeah, I thought of that as soon as I'd said it. Even thejournal.ie doesn't have open comments. Was a good excuse for a rant though. :D

I hope, at an absolute minimum, that the authorities will forensically examine the assets of:

Mrs Lorraine Drumm
Mrs Catriona Fitzpatrick &
Mrs Brid Lynn

Don't have a clue about court procedures but why tf does it take a year to star the first trial, and another 8 months for the next?

No doubt to give time for the "mountain of sludge" of public opinion to dissipate, same as for Seanie. In other words, by the time it comes to trial -- fully ten years after the alleged offences -- fewer people will give a rashers when justice fails to be served yet again.

Isn't it to let the statute of limitations to run out so that all the evidence is inadmissible?
