Can't figure out prices that sit unchanged for months while the house remains unsold. Basic economics means reducing the price to sell. Market clearing bid strategy?

No buyer has been found at a price the seller wants to (or is able to) accept, obviously.

It may not be possible to unpick the underlying facts in a particular case although asking the EA is a good place to start.

"Basic economics means reducing price to sell" only holds true if the seller wants to complete the transaction within a specified period at whatever price the market will offer.

Presumably myhome and daft pricing is structured in a such a way that nobody is incurring significant costs for keeping the advert up. This would be consistent with the world before the web where EAs printed brochures and then held on to them indefinitely. An online ad costs nothing to host and the sites like to look busy.
