Started off at 1.875m in 2015, then went to 1.725m, now reduced to 1.695m (another 30k).

30k price drops on a house asking well over 1.5m shows that they have lost all control of pricing.

Desperate just to get down below the 1.7m mark and re-establish some viewings.

(i.e. Nobody falls out over 30k at this level).

Interesting history here and captured in other PIN links (might be worth merging)

Went for auction in current state (I think) asking 3.25m in March 2007.
They seemed to have failed (poor guys, must have JUST missed the window before the collapse).

Another price drop to 1.645m

Started off at 1.875m in 2015, then went to 1.725m, to 1.695m, and now 1.645m (-230k from initial)

I think this is a nice period house to look at, has rear car access entrance, and is in very good condition inside, but it is a small site (<0.14 acres), it is on a very busy road, and it is north facing, and the internal layout is a little tricky.

The plus 700 per sq ft initial asking did the damage (easy to say no to, given above).

I think this will struggle to break the 600 per sq ft mark (1.565m), so there might be more adjustments to come.

i do like that house

but if i was in the market at that level the parking to the rear (no doubt down a narrow alley) and north facing garden would put me off
