In Saturdays Examiner there was a headline
€3k payment to ESB workers ‘was a bonus’
Bristling with indignation and outrage I was about to attack my nearest ESB pole, when I read the article the first paragraph reads
The Labour Court has ruled a “13th month” payment of up to €3,000 to 300 staff at EBS was a “bonus” and not a sum to which they were contractually entitled.
In Dec 2011, the 300 staff, members of the Unite trade union, staged a strike after the company withdrew the payment from non-management.
How difficult is it for an editor to check that you have named the correct company. Its just sloppy Sloppy journalism http://www.irishexaminer.com/ireland/3k ... 0I.twitter
