You wanted it so you got it. You very own site, theideapin.com for as long as the internet exists.

(url may not be live just yet so hang on in....)

Everyone can pitch their ideas on how this ideas resource can exist, behave and grow. We'll develop the concept openly here first since we have so that it open. It must really be user generated.

No time for positive based on wooly sentiments based on soft talk we want positive energy based on hard info and critical thinking leading to critical construction, passionate planning and real ownership of the synergies, participation in the collective think.

We have initial IT support pledge we'll work with that first based on the next 7 or so days of submissions, comments suggestion all made in the open and discussed here.

Then when we implement the changes we can open the site wholesale for all to join. We can't do everything at once but we can all start thinking about how and what we would like to see done log it here and get working on it together!

I'll post a little bit more later! as you can imagine its all very seat of the pants right now. I wouldn't have it any other way :D

Cheers - Open Window

I tried signing up to the site but not getting any email to confirm registration. Tried requesting username and password to be sent to me but didn't receive emails.

We have it temporarily locked I want to do the initial open dev here and then we can move onto the site wholesale. Sorry if that wasn't clear. 7 days to get ourselves in order :)

Hope thats ok. If we can open up sooner we will. I just wanted to show that it was no longer talk.

The dev team will have access first to have a poke. Meanwhile we can host all ideapin discussion here.

Firstly, can we change the title of this thread, as obviously the 7 days have passed, and it is off putting.

Now, the idea.....

Re Industry for Ireland in the "Green Economy"

Retrofitting existing cars to make them electric see this video

I'm not suggesting they have to all go that fast :x  but that's pretty impressive and those with their Audis etc could theoretically still have their fast car with sleek body.

So we develop an industry that reuses existing cars while making them emissions free, but simultaneously designing and producing new electric vehicles for sale here and abroad. We also invest heavily in wind power, as we have some of the best wind resources in the world, and aim to have Ireland free from fossil fuel use, by 2020. We meanwhile develop the skills and knowledge and even product that could be traded with other countries, which means jobs.

We could theoretically live on an island with no fossil fuels required for motoring, or electricity usage. We would become energy independent, live in a cleaner and quieter environment, and do our bit to save the world, and make money all at the same time, brilliant. :D

Sometimes, the obvious takes longer to be seen and acted on.

1. Wave & Wind power when harnassed, has the potential to make us an energy exporter and might even revive the West
2. Spend less than you earn :!:
3. Help your 'neighbour' even 10% as much as you help yourself (help yourself 100%, instead of looking for handouts)
4. Use your Vote, and use it Wisely
