Ireland's Burton Sees EU/IMF Renegotiation After Bank Tests - Eamon Quinn -> http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-201 ... 03087.html

DUBLIN (Dow Jones)--Joan Burton, finance spokeperson for Ireland's Labour Party, which is about to enter a coalition government led by Fine Gael, said the new government willrenegotiate the country's loan package from the European Union and International Monetary Fund once stress tests on Irish banks are completed later this month.

Burton, tipped to be named later this week as one of the ministers in a restructured finance ministry, told RTE Radio that the new government had "inherited appalling" banking debts and that it was awaiting the outcome of further stress tests at the end of this month to find out "what further difficulties may be in the banks," particularly in terms of home loans.
