Prof Laura Tyson is unbelievable, she insinuates that Germany producing products which are bought by 'emerging economies' is false economics.
How, in gods name, did she become a 'professor' ?

Dont know why...instinct, I suppose.

I'd concur, but I also feel more responsibility for the poor in society.
Not the idiots who gambled and lost, not the 'workers' leeching off the public purse, not those in 'golden circles' manipulating govt for their own ends; fuck them.
But the real poor, the excluded, the ones who never had a chance.

We have a responsibility to ensure that they are not the victims in this balls-up.
I dont think the libertarians give a damn for them, but I do, so I cant subscribe.

Sorry....

Personally I believe it's the states duty to ensure equality of opportunity for all it's citizens.
In that, I would be a firm advocate of free education (incl university), as well as free health care up to 30 years old.
After that you are on your own.

The problem with cradle-to-grave welfare is that the rich avail of it too (as is all too evident at the moment).
Soon, nothing is left in the pot.

The Malthusians only give a crap about themselves thats why they get so hot under the collar, "theres's not enough for us all!!!!!!!", the all being "them till the end".

Look inside you infinite heart. There you will find the answer friend.

If there is no beat, then you are bought. I am sorry . I only used the colours you said use but I couldn't stay inside the lines. :|

My biggest problem doesn't lie in helping poor people, it lies in the inevitability that when governments are in the business of giving out money, the rich find a way to grab the lions share of it.

In an ideal world, governments would help the poor whilst the rich would not interfere, but that's never going to happen.
We all know that businesses don't give money to political parties out of charity or a sense of patriotism, they do so to gain political favour and influence.
The poor can't compete with that, and in the end they are always the ones who lose the most.
