Maybe 26 open threads, one for each postal district 1-24, and one for Co. Dublin.

Much easier to track and control.

On edit: maybe 26 stickies actually....a bit OTT for most forums, but seems perfectly appropriate here.

I dunno.

Large stickied threads are notoriously hard to manoeuver... Take the sentiment thread!!!

Yeah, I totally agree for most discussion forums UG, but here in this particaular circumstance it makes total sense. Anyone visitng the forum would immediately understand why it's so organised. And they can immediately go to the area they know and check it out.

Also, wouldn't 99% of posts in this forum go in a sticky anyway...IOW, there aren't many other topics that will pop up here other than examples of prices falls. So it doesn't really matter that stickies would take up half the front page.

It's when the sticky gets pretty lengthy tho, Chomp....

When you go back in and try and extract information, it can become quite cumbersome... I wonder are sub-folders a possibility, I'll have to investigate with OW...

No!!! Totally necessary and appreciated work redo...just a case of the mods/admins organising it better.

(BTW, I am not one of "you guys", just a humble poster!).

What?

Seperate sub forums?

Or seperate long stickies for each?

Perhaps, we might agree that people would only put in seperate entries for drops of more than a certain figure then...

Searching long stickies is difficult and redo will have to work doubly hard to make sure he is credited!

I think this would be best as it mimics myhome initial selection dropdown

EDIT: Only my opinion. But whatever the mods decide is fine.

An additional 4 sub forums or sticky threads? :?

Tell me and I'll discuss with OW.

TUG, any consensus yet?, or is there a way to show all threads instead of having them grouped in 50s or whatever it is?

I don't follow ya on the second part there redo, I'm afraid.

As for the first, you guys provide the consensus.

I'm thinking a Dublin North, a Dublin West, a Dublin South and a city centre forum each. Hell, it's what the boards are here to do and will make it easier for people to navigate.

What do you think?
