Hmmm, which Slats ?

I know one story about a Slats that resulted in a large number of patrons boycotting the establishment until the issue was resolved. Even then a lot of people never darkened the door afterward because of the way management & owners acted.

Much water has passed under the bridge since then, but the bodies are still the same.

Junction of Grand Canal St/Bath Ave/South Lotts Rd/Haddington Road. New manager in there since about 5 years ago. Decent guy and very professional. No idea of owners.

when did they uproot the benches to squeeze more punters in? Used to be a landmark pub, very much like any other pub now.

The pizza place (juniors) around the corner does a roaring trade with young Euro dork types; can't say the pizza itself impressed me much...

A glass generally refers to a half-pint.

Ah...
Well if people order a glass of wine and get half a pint of the stuff, I can see why we have a drink problem here. 8DD

They probably think they are in a cafe bar.

How are the trendy bars on Dawson Street doing these days?

I hear the Odeon in Dublin is closing. Can anyone confirm?
Its Facebook page doesn't say its closing but certainly says some of its events (Movie Night, Latin Night) are moving to its sister bar, 4 Dame Lane.
