I find it increasingly difficult to listen to dame Marian. She's constantly banging on about the poor besieged ordinary folk, I find it hard to believe that she has a bull's notion about ordinary folks' travails.

Ah here, Hath not an RTE presenter eyes? Hath not an RTE presenter hands, organs,
dimensions, senses, affections, passions; fed with
the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject
to the same diseases, heal'd by the same means,
warm'd and cool'd by the same winter and summer
as an ordinary person is? If you prick us, do we not bleed Daily Mail opinions?
If you pay us well over the odds, do we not laugh? If you poisson us,
do we not recommned a fine white? And if you wrong us, shall we not go to work for the, er, opposition?

One of the New Beginning guys banging the debt forgiveness drum on Marion Finnucane - 'it's the only solution'. Other guests seem to be lining up behind him.

Sindo call bottom for the 20th time.

3rd time this year & 6 years in a row now.

No surprise they have removed the ability to comment.

Seems the government & the media are going all out with the propaganda machine these last few weeks.

Expect the thicko Irish public to follow like lemmings.

Larry Brennan, director of Savilles, on RTE NEws at 1 ... says investor purchases in the property market will rise from a historic low of 25m last year to 500m this year. That's some turnaround. Usual wildly optimistic view of the ongoing situation.

Anyone hear your Man Crosbie on RTE 1 earlier, speaking about the economic situation.
There is a "yearning amongst the people for this to end"
When it does apparently " it will end suddenly and there will be a major upswing". He also said that property in terms of appreciation is finished and we as a nation are now all about Pharmacuticals and computers and given the chance he would head off to Athlone in the morning to work for free on the Great Mall of China, and finally about 6 times he told us that the Irish "are an amazing people"
Funnily when asked about Namas involvement in his business he claimed that there was a confidentiallity clause that prohibited him from speaking about it

Yeah and as for 'we get no Arts Council money, subsidies, or whatever'.
To top it all - 'We're well used to meeting important people .... the Queen walked into our office, I mean - the QUEEN'.
Vomit-inducing, he is.

Was listening to MF today (she was away), Simon Coveney was on trying to sell the 'Yes' vote. The economics of the 'bailout' fund is laughable. We are going to borrow 1.3bn euro for our entry ticket. If the fund is called on, we will have to borrow another 11bn? to fulfil our obligations to support another bailout (possibly even our own). Every other country is going to have to borrow to stump up for its membership of the 'bailout' club. This is voodoo economics. How can these guys believe in this themselves, never mind trying to sell it to the electorate.
