I find it increasingly difficult to listen to dame Marian. She's constantly banging on about the poor besieged ordinary folk, I find it hard to believe that she has a bull's notion about ordinary folks' travails.

Larry Brennan, director of Savilles, on RTE NEws at 1 ... says investor purchases in the property market will rise from a historic low of 25m last year to 500m this year. That's some turnaround. Usual wildly optimistic view of the ongoing situation.

Was listening to MF today (she was away), Simon Coveney was on trying to sell the 'Yes' vote. The economics of the 'bailout' fund is laughable. We are going to borrow 1.3bn euro for our entry ticket. If the fund is called on, we will have to borrow another 11bn? to fulfil our obligations to support another bailout (possibly even our own). Every other country is going to have to borrow to stump up for its membership of the 'bailout' club. This is voodoo economics. How can these guys believe in this themselves, never mind trying to sell it to the electorate.

They lie. Simples.
